Youngest pupil passes exam
8 Year Old Passes Rockschool Debut Exam With Distinction
Congratulations to Chetan my youngest pupil so far to pass a Rockschool exam. Not only did Chetan pass the exam. He passed with distinction with a massive 92%. Chetan is 8 years old, and has only been playing for just over a year. He loves music and the challenge of playing guitar. He practises for just 15 to 20 minutes every day, and has a half hour lesson a week. You can can see the results that can be achieved in a short time, by dedicating just a few minutes a day to playing guitar.
As well as passing his debut exam, he is well on his way to been entered for his grade 1 exam. There is also some footage on my media page of Chet playing Kiss by Prince which is his favourite artist. Click here to check him out You will also find videos of some of my other students playing too.
I have been a guitar tutor in Wolverhampton for many years, and one of the best parts of the job is seeing someone like Chetan who is spending time with his instrument and practising daily. The result he achieved in this debut exam was higher than what some adults achieve. It is also a milestone in my own career to have someone so young pass an exam. All Rockschool exams are performed in front of a Rockschool examiner and are a worldwide recognised qualification.
The Future Is Bright
I am looking forward to working with Chetan for many years to come. I am sure with continued practise and his love of music he will have a bright future in music. His parents also help by supporting and encouraging Chetan as much as possible which is very important.
