New School Term 2019/20

So here we are new school term. This term I will offering guitar lessons at

  • Brewood C of E Middle school
  • St Johns CE (VC) First school Bishops Wood
  • St Michael’s First School in Penkridge

There will be a ” Meet The Tutors “evening held in Brewood Middle School Tuesday 10th September for pupils of this school. I hope to meet some of you there. On the evening I will be doing a short description of the lessons. I am offering, and one of my students from the school will also be performing. There will also be some presentations of certificates for pupils who passed exams at the end of last term.

St Johns CE (VC) First school Bishops Wood and St Michael’s First School in Penkridge I will be visiting when I have arranged a date. I will be doing a short music workshop and giving letters to the students who are interested in learning guitar.

Lessons this term are priced at £12.00 per 30 mins or £9.00 per 20 mins. Lessons are in school times, and pupils will be rotated so they do not miss the same lesson every week. I will be teaching not only playing guitar but also music reading.

I will be offering two types of exams to students this term. Trinity College Rock & Pop exams for electric guitar and also Registry of Guitar Tutors exams at London College Of Music for acoustic guitar players. The Trinity College exams are in an exam centre with an official examiner. However Registry of guitar tutor exams give the option of submitting the exam through a video upload. The benefit of this is, if the student makes any mistakes it can be recorded again. Until they are happy with their performance.

What will I need to play guitar
