Hi Andy

I recently purchased an xotic xsc-2 secondhand for £2000 . Original price was £2799 . I have the original receipt as well .

It seems I have an issue with the frets . It’s a roasted maple fretboard but the last 3 frets have come up near the heel joint . It’s not particularly bad , but means can only have the action so low to avoid it buzzing on those frets .

Is there anything you would suggest ? It seems that for a guitar in that price range you wouldn’t expect these issues , especially with it being a roasted maple .

I had a tech look at it and he said it’s not too bad , he’s seen worse and reckoned it was pretty common issue on guitars even custom shop .

Said in the case of mine , action is set up for standard strat playability . If I wanted it any lower then those frets would have to be stoned .

The person I bought it off claims he wasn’t aware of this issue . I guess it’s not something that noticeable until you get a tech to look at it .

Any advice would be appreciated
